Welcome to my reality, my attempt to make sense of a rich but chaotic life, through artistic expression. My blog is mostly about my fibre art, which reflects my thoughts, feelings, opinions and experiences.

My creativity dried up.
My creativity has all dried up. After the exhibition - I don't know what happened but it all went out of me. :( Hopefully just a fallow period.
Please do not stop making your fabric art. How about taking part in the South African quilt Festival that will be in Stellenbosch? And blog about your life and exhausten if you do not have art to blog about!
I'm a 49 year old single mom to two gorgeous daughters, 20 and 17 and three cats. I live in a small town in South Africa. My passion is Fibre Art and I experience my urge to create, as a spiritual imperative that I must (and dearly want to) obey. As an artist soul in "wage-slavery", I am acutely aware of my daily dance between Reason and Passion. So I art whenever I can and do the rest when I must.

I know the feeling. THe secret is to allow yourself to moodle and something will spark your enthusiasm again.
"So you see, the imagination needs moodling – long, inefficient, happy idling, dawdling, and puttering." - Brenda Euland
Happy Moodling to you, Karen :-)
the perfect time to rest, regroup and return refreshed.
be kind to yourself, do lots of things you enjoy and it will return.
you probably just needed a break after all of the hard work that went into your exhibition :)x
